Through Project Director of ITS GREEN-AI Project Management Unit

The Ministry of Defence, Pakistan, under the Project Director of ITS GREEN-AI Project Management Unit, invites applications from Pakistani nationals for contract-based appointments. These positions are available for one year (extendable based on performance) under the PSDP project titled:

“Development of ICT and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Precision Agriculture Systems Utilizing Dual-Use Aerospace Technologies-GreenAI”

The positions are based at NASTP, Rawalpindi/Islamabad, and report to the Ministry of Defence, Pakistan.

Available Positions and Qualifications

1. Senior Scientific Officer (PPS-9) – 01 Position

Qualification & Experience:

• Ph.D. / MS in DSP (Digital Signal Processing), Embedded Systems or related fields.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience for MS degree holders.
• Strong expertise in FPGA, DSP-SAR, and other advanced technologies.
• Will be responsible for leading and overseeing the research and development activities of the project.

2. Scientific Officer (PPS-8) – 02 Positions

Qualification & Experience:

• MS / BE in DSP, Embedded Systems, HPC (High-Performance Computing), or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in relevant areas.
• Proficiency in FPGA design, cloud computing, AI, and machine learning applications.
• Will assist in the development and implementation of ICT and AI-based precision agriculture solutions.

3. Software Engineer / HPC / Cloud Architect (PPS-7) – 01 Position

Qualification & Experience:

• MS / BS in Software Engineering, HPC, Data Science, Cloud Computing, or AI.
• 3 years of experience in developing high-performance computing solutions and cloud architectures.
• Strong expertise in parallel computing, AI-driven data processing, and software engineering.

4. Computer Assistant (PPS-6) – 01 Position

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT-related fields.
• 1 year of experience in administrative IT support.
• Strong understanding of computer applications and data processing.

5. UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) Operator (PPS-6) – 01 Position

Qualification & Experience:

• Technical certification or diploma in UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) operations.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in UAS operations, maintenance, and flight control.
• Familiarity with agriculture-based UAV applications is an advantage.

6. Research Associate /Research Assistant (PPS-5)—02 Positions

Qualification & Experience:

• Relevant field MS/MPhil/MSc.
• PhD will be preferred (Candidates currently pursuing PhD will also be preferred).
• Familiarity with research methods, data analysis, and applications in AI

7. Naib Qasid (PPS-1) - 01 Posts

Qualification & Experience:

• Candidates should have passed their Matric qualification from a recognized board.
• Candidates with Excellent Communication and multitasking skills will be preferred.
